A continuous-time substrate for everything in your head. Speak or type — yestonotes quietly sorts your captures into thoughts, actions, and the things you've already started.
Passive captures — ideas, observations, half-formed opinions. The substrate everything else grows from. Verbatim, in your own words.
Things that imply doing. They move through a lifecycle:
todo → started → blocked → done
What you've started. The home view. The open loops eating your bandwidth, finally visible.
The half-written email. The project you picked up Monday. The book you're in chapter three of. These are the things already in progress — the half-finished things you need to keep track of.That's what we call "Threads" — the default home view of the app. So you never lose track, and always have somewhere to add to.
yestonotes accepts your words first, then asks an AI to split them into topics. Your text is never rewritten — the AI's only job is sorting.
You do the writing. We do the sorting — to keep it organized.
Whatever's in your head — one thought or five. The capture is saved instantly, exactly as you said it.
A single capture becomes up to five items, each a contiguous verbatim excerpt. Each is tagged thought or action, and routed to a topic — new or existing.
verbatim excerpt · type · state · topicThreads with active work surface first, ordered by recent touch. Done items quietly fall away. Dormant threads drift to the bottom.
Your words, verbatim. The AI never rewrites, summarizes, or corrects typos. It only sorts. If you misspeak, the misspoken thing is preserved.
No daily inbox. No "Today" tab. Threads carry continuously, the way they actually live in your head. Timestamps are metadata, not navigation.
Voice is transcribed in seconds and the recording is deleted. We keep the text, not the audio. No length cap — talk as long as you need.
The personalization curve takes about two weeks — long enough to feel personal. So we want you in for two weeks before you decide.
No. The AI's only job is to split your capture into 1–5 verbatim excerpts and tag each. Every excerpt is validated as an exact substring of what you wrote. If validation fails, the original text is kept whole.
Audio is uploaded transiently to transcription, then deleted within seconds of returning the transcript. The recording is never persisted. We keep your text and the duration in milliseconds — that's it.
Every other personal todo app hides in-progress state — Linear and Jira have it for teams, but solo apps skip it. Yet "started but not done" is the cognitively heaviest state. Making it the default view is the genuine product insight.
You own your data outright. Self-serve export is coming soon — for now, email contact@yestonotes.app from the address on your account and we'll send you a copy.
The web app is responsive and works well on phones. A dedicated iOS / Android app is on the roadmap for after the web version stabilizes.
