Refund policy

We want you to feel good about subscribing to yestonotes. Here's how refunds work in plain terms.
The 14-day trial — you're not charged
Every new account starts with a 14-day trial. We collect a payment method at sign-up (so the trial converts smoothly if you keep using it), but we don't charge you during the trial. You can cancel any time in the first 14 days and pay nothing. No "refund" needed because no charge happens.
Monthly plan ($5/mo)
Cancel any time. Your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing period; you won't be charged again. We don't offer pro-rated refunds for partial months on the monthly plan — the price is low enough that we keep the refund flow simple.
Quarterly plan ($13/quarter)
If you cancel within 14 days of a quarterly charge, we'll refund the full quarter on request — email contact@yestonotes.app. Cancellations after 14 days remain active through the end of the paid quarter without a pro-rated refund.
Annual plan ($45/year)
Annual is the biggest commitment, so we offer the most flexibility:
- Within 14 days of the annual charge: full refund on request.
- Within 30 days of the annual charge: pro-rated refund for unused months on request.
- After 30 days: your subscription remains active through the end of the paid year; no pro-rated refund after that point.
How to cancel or request a refund
To cancel: open the app, go to Settings → Billing → Manage in Stripe. That opens Stripe's hosted Customer Portal where you can cancel, change plans, or update your payment method. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (and your data remains intact until then).
To request a refund: email contact@yestonotes.app with the email address on your account and a brief note. We respond within 3 business days and process eligible refunds within 5 business days via Stripe back to the original payment method.
Exceptions
We may decline refund requests if there is evidence of abuse — e.g., repeatedly subscribing, refunding, and resubscribing to circumvent the trial. We may extend a refund beyond the windows above at our discretion for exceptional circumstances; just write to us and explain.
Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails (card expired, insufficient funds, etc.), we'll retry over the following days and email you. Your account stays active during this grace period. If we can't collect after roughly two weeks, your subscription moves to a canceled state and access pauses until you update payment.
